Walking into Teraco’s Isando campus in Johannesburg was one of those moments where the abstract becomes very real. We talk about “the cloud” like it’s weightless and magical, but standing inside a hyperscale data center does the opposite: it makes you see the cloud—steel, concrete, fiber, cooling systems, power feeds, security checkpoints. All very physical. All very deliberate.

The Infrastructure–as–Code (IaC) bootcamp at Global Micro Solutions in South Africa has been a phenomenal success. A bootcamp was requested to train a group of its engineers to design, develop, and deploy resources using Infrastructure–as–Code so they can ship changes faster while maintaining high standards of security, compliance, and reliability, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcomes!
